This pattern was drawn from an original 1950's cord from the Aran Islands. It has the strong high-key colour combination much loved by the island weavers. I had fun getting into the mindset of the original creator and recreating their vision - it is a very different style of design than I would have come up with myself!!

The cord is 6 1/2 foot long and 1.5 inches wide. (2m x 4cm approx.)

It is made from Aran Yarn from Donegal and Kerry in Ireland.
